Here in Crawley, we see the safety and well-being of our residents, workers and visitors as paramount. Therefore, we supplement the Police service and Police Community Support Officers with our own Community Wardens, adding an additional layer of security, ensuring people feel safer on our streets.

If you've got what it takes to confidently and assertively reduce the fear of crime and reassure the public and be part of a team which has earned the RSPCA Gold Footprint Award for its outstanding work in dealing with stray dogs you'll enjoy a role that offers valuable experience and a competitive salary and benefits package.

Patrolling public areas, you'll report on a variety of anti social behaviours, community concerns and misdemeanours, you will be required to deal with the demanding role of a providing an efficient dog service. The role will include liaising with individuals and the community and issuing fixed penalty notices, while also taking part in court proceedings and community clean-up events.

We can give you full training and support from the beginning. A uniform will also be supplied. Excellent communication skills, cash-handling experience, ability to perform physically demanding tasks and a current driving licence are all essential.

You will be required to work weekends and Bank Holidays as a regular part of this post.
