Shane Wooten Country Artist & Host of ACMC Top 40 to Walk Across Florida!

Ocala, FL – December 27, 2010 – Shane Wooten Nashville recording artist is making plans to walk across the great State of Florida starting in Daytona Beach on January 28, 2011 and ending in Clearwater Beach on February 1 covering over 150 miles in just 5 days.

Shane Wooten and band member Nick Ward will be walking to promote the new single “Running with a Redneck Crowd” Featuring the Bellamy Brothers. Shane stated the Bellamy Brothers’ Ranch is one of the stops along the route.

Shane partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida, which consists of 2 houses in the Orlando area serving up to 59 families nightly, while their children undergo treatment for various medical conditions. Shane hopes to raise $10,000 in pledges from people and businesses willing to see if Shane and friends can make it across the finish line. Shane said – we have already received a title sponsorship from Vintage Hair Creations an Ocala, FL based company.

Shane stated “A year ago I never would have believed I would be promoting a single featuring the Bellamy Brothers, so anything is possible when you put your mind to it and are willing to work for it”

Shane is insistent that they will make the journey and will be recording everything with High Definition cameras and posting the entire experience to the band’s YouTube account as well doing some live video streams from his mobile device.

The singer/songwriter is inviting people from near and far to join in on the “Walk Across Florida” and will put on mini concerts along the route at select McDonald’s locations and other venues.

Shane Wooten is a singer/songwriter that grabbed Florida’s attention with his 2009 hit single “Shovel’n Sunshine.”
