Amelie is a Training Group Analyst for the IGA and a Jungian Analyst. She worked for many years in private practice, teaching and supervising in the UK and abroad, as well as running the IGA’s London Qualifying and Foundation Courses for several years and working as the Honorary Secretary on the EGATIN committee (European Group Analytic Training Institutes Network). She now works on the Group Analytic Training Course in GRAS, Germany, combining Jungian Analysis, Group Analysis and Winnicott’s contribution and hosts Social Dreaming Matrices.

Originally, Amélie studied architecture and worked as an architect. She then obtained a MSc in psychology from Technical University Berlin, which included a clinical training in behavioural and client-centred psychotherapy, and also trained as a Body and Movement therapist. Following her move to London in 1982, she became a Jungian Analyst and Group Analyst and qualified as a supervisor.

  • Convenor of the London Foundation Course of the IGA
  • Workshop leader for a variety of organisations, like the Women’s Therapy Centre, WPF, IAAP, GAS, FPC and IGA
