Alfa Milano: all the secrets before the official unveiling

FEW TIME LEFT - Twenty days divide us to the releasing of the first Alfa Romeo Milano pictures. In the meantime, today a top secret presentation has been held to the top manager of the fiat group. During these event the managers saw the  final model (the Milano was shown in metallic white and black and with some other sporty colors). Less than four months to the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, where the new Alfa Romeo will be shown for the world premiere, a bit of aerodynamic tuning is on the go.

DO NOT MISS IT - On the last decade of November some final model will be on the main Italian highways; so we suggest you to bring a photo camera: you could be one of the author of the next spy pictures for the alVolante website (earning 250 euros for the scoop). But don't forget the flash: the chances are to see the unmasked car during the night.

FROM OUR “SECRET AGENTS” – After a lot of investigations, we are able to reveal a good number of news on the future middle-sized Alfa Romeo. Who was convinced that this car was representing a Fiat Bravo evolution (maybe the fact that the first tests have been conducted on the Fiat model chassis could have been missleading) will be denied: as the official pictures will show, the Milano (the name could even change) won't have anything in common with the Fiat model.

A BIT OF TECHNIQUE – The chassis (it will be either used for some other Chrysler model) will be bigger with larger tracks and different suspension (for the rear ones, the designers have chosen a central structure connected to lengthwise arms, similar to the Mini system). The chassis will represent an evolution of the Lancia Delta's one called C Evo.

A 240 HP RACING STABLE –  The Milano engine line-up will be very broad: there is the new 1.4 MultiAir petrol engine with 135 hp, the new 1.6 turbodiesel with 120 hp and the new 2 litre turbodiesel engine with 170 hp, recently tested on the Nurburgring.

There will be an even sportier version that will have the 1750 turbocharged petrol engine with a maximum output between 230 and 240 hp, fully equipped with racing look in the interior. This model stopped the Alfa Romeo Mito GTA project.

RACE DRIVING – The new Alfa Romeo Milano, scheduled only in the five door version, will have an advanced DNA system (it modifies the engine, the ESP and the steering response) and the Electronic Q2 differential that emulates a limited slip differential. There are very few chances to see a four wheel drive version.
