Achievement First is hiring for open teaching positions at all of our locations—Bridgeport, Hartford and New Haven, Connecticut; Brooklyn, New York; and Providence, Rhode Island. Elementary and high school teachers are encouraged to apply to these roles to reach students in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade.   • Application and Hiring Process

    • What can you expect when you’re applying for a job with us? We want to make the process as seamless as possible, so while the specifics can vary from person to person, here’s an overview:
      • Apply: We accept applications on a rolling basis, and our recruitment team responds to all completed applications within seven business days.
      • Phone Interview: Selected applicants will participate in a phone interview with a member of our recruitment team. This call will focus on your previous experience and the content of your application.
      • Guest Lesson & In-Person Interview: After the phone interview, some applicants will be invited to interview with one of our schools in Connecticut, Brooklyn or Rhode Island. Due to COVID-19, interviews are currently taking place virtually via video conference. We’ll be looking for your ability to lead a 25-45 minute guest lesson, and we’ll want to see your classroom management instincts, your overall teacher personality and lesson delivery. After the lesson, you’ll reflect with school-based faculty and the recruitment team.
      • Reference Check: A member of our recruitment team will contact your references at some point during the process. We will notify you before contacting any of your references.
