New PLACE
A Database of Plant Cis-acting Regulatory DNA Elements

PLACE is a database of motifs found in plant cis-acting regulatory DNA elements, which were collected from previously published reports. It originally covered vascular plants only, but we changed the policy in April 2006 (See the release note of PLACE 26.0). In addition to the reported motifs in the original publication, their variations in other genes or other plant species reported later were also included. The PLACE database also provides the users with a brief description of each motif and relevant literature information with their PubMed ID numbers. The accession numbers of the DDBJ/EMBL/GenBank nucleotide sequence databases are also included (See 'place.seq'). List of the PLACE entries can be found in 'place.dat'.

Paste sequences of the multiple-FASTA format.
Up to 20 sequences are acceptable for a single search.

The data files of PLACE are:
place.dat and place.seq (version 30.0, 469 entries, Jan. 8th, 2007)
