AMERICAN BOARD OF PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY ATTORNEYS

Annual Conference April 25- 27, 2013 New Orleans

 PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

William F. McMurry President - American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys (ABPLA)

As President, my goal is to increase the public’s awareness and appreciation for selecting a board-certified attorney similar to the way a patient prefers a board-certified physician. I will work to establish the ABPLA as a standard of excellence for attorneys specializing in professional negligence liability. I look forward to the future growth of the ABPLA and I am committed to increasing its valuable contribution to the public and the professional negligence bar.

To further this goal, I invite you to join the Diplomates of the ABPLA for the annual meeting April 25-27, 2013 in New Orleans.  Our dynamic speakers will highlight the changes ocurring in our profession and will inspire you to improve your professional skills and legal expertise.  I could not be more thrilled about the line-up of this year’s speakers and believe you will find it one of the most valuable meetings you attend all year.  I want to ensure we all return to work not just with CLE credit hours but with information we use in everyday practice.  In addition, our Friday night dinner reception this year will be hosted in a private room at one of the most famous restaurant's in the country, Galatoire's.

Significant interaction and discussion make this meeting invaluable.  It is not often people from both sides of the bar have a chance to share openly.  This year our meeting is designed to encourage open feedback, which is a vital tool for professional growth.

I encourage you to bring family and guests to explore New Orleans. Our meeting is scheduled for the first weekend of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.    This is the perfect opportunity to explore this amazing city, and during one of the very best times of the year. Your participation in the 2013 annual meeting is important to the legal profession’s development and the growth of the ABPLA.

If you are interested in attending the annual Conference, or learning more about becoming board certified by the APBLA, please contact Reeve McNamara, Executive Director at: (404) 919-4009 or [email protected].  I sincerely hope that you will join us in making the 2013 ABPLA Annual Meeting a success. We look forward to welcoming you to New Orleans.
