Migraine And Bowel Movements

Oh yes I did!
I definitely said "Migraine And Bowel Movements". So, whats this about? (Do I have to repeat it again??)

Many migraine suffers have some strange symptoms before, after, or during an attack. We usually don't talk about such things because it's taboo in most cultures. But, it's good idea to know if your symptoms are common, or be able to tell your physician about them.

The symptoms that are most common are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, facial pallor, cold hands, cold feet, and sensitivity to light and sound. One or all of these can accompany migraine headaches. And it goes without saying that head pain on one side or the other is a symptom.

And that brings me to the nausea and diarrhea. The reason I even mention it, is because there are medicines that can help with this. There are at least two of which I have used with some success. Both Phenergan (promethazine) and Compazine (Prochlorperazine) may be prescribed by your physician.  Phenergan is used to treat allergy symptoms and prevent motion sickness. Compazine to alleviate the symptoms of vertigo and treat nausea and vomiting.

I personally suffer from nausea, diarrhea, facial pallor, and sensitivity to light and sound. I usually get nauseous, but having a cast iron stomach, I am unable to vomit unless I force it, with my finger down my throat. If your a diarrhea OR vomiting sufferer you should make sure to drink plenty of fluids. Water is best.

It may be that migraines have been a medical inconvenience since ancient times. It is written in Job 30:27 “My bowels boiled, and rested not: the days of affliction prevented me.”
