Case History: RSI

Sophia W.'s week was spent building up enough energy to attend her Alexander Technique lesson: six days and 22 hours of rest in order to have the necessary determination and energy to be driven to the lesson, have the lesson, then be returned to bed.

One thing I've noticed about many CFS and ME sufferers is they have a general understanding of how to be quiet within the Self, and so they often respond to the technique in a way that surprises them. Sophia came to me for some time. Within a few months she could be up and about, while being careful not to over extend herself; after two years she went on a world tour and sent me photographs of her sky-diving and hang-gliding. I'm sure she was thrilled to bits to have her life back!

Another CFS sufferer is described in the next Case History: Dizziness & debilitating body pain.
