Andy Morales - lead vocal/percussion

Andy is one of the most sought after Vocalist and Percussionist in the Bay Area. He grew up in SF and played with members of Santana and Sly Stone. Has traveled across the country performing, opening for artists like The Temptations and Kenny Loggins. His voice translates to the voices of Terry Kath and Robert Lamm with ease. 

Frank Rios - lead vocal/percussion

What can I say, I was raised listening to music! My mother was a very good singer and my father played guitar and violin. I also have eight brothers and sisters all musical performers, currently or in the past. I didn’t start playing instruments until I was 18, a late bloomer, you might say. And I really didn’t take music seriously until I arrived in Sacramento in the 90’s. Since then, I've been a singing drummer with Betty & The Boomers and The Rolling Blackouts. Then I branched out and started playing the more sophisticated music of Steely Dan in a tribute called Steely Scam, and what a great group of players that was!

That led to guest appearances with Chicago Tribute Authority, and a regular spot as lead vocalist/percussionist with the re-vamped band Chicago the Tribute. As bands often go, I left when I received a call from Ron Jamison asking if I had any interest in joining his Steely Dan/Chicago Tributes – Aja Vu and Stealin’ Chicago. After considerable thought, I made the move and joined the band in April 2022. It’s been a pleasure once again playing the music of my favorite band, Steely Dan as well Chicago, which I’ve played for over 7 years. A perfect fit, you might say. This group of musicians is extremely talented and I’m happy to be one of the “guys”!

Brad Catania - trumpet/percussion

Brad Catania (Lead Trumpet and Arranger) hails from Chicago and started playing in 1977 free-lancing with big bands, show bands, and Elvis shows. Brad moved to California with his music degree in 82' and became a regular at the Venetian Room and the Circle Star Theater performing with James Brown, Lou Rawls, Mel Torme’, Patti LaBelle, The Temptations, the Four Tops, Frankie Vali, Rosemary Clooney and others. He has played with Full Faith and Credit, The Zasu Pitts Memorial Orchestra, Dick Bright’s Orchestra, and Harry Denton’s Starlight Orchestra.

He is also requested as a sideman for many bay area club and show bands.

Dave Hawkes - drums

Dave Hawkes has been performing professionally in the Central Valley and Bay Area since 1983. In addition to attending the Berklee School of Music in Boston, Dave is a graduate of California State University Stanislaus. He has studied with notable drummers David Garibaldi and Dave Weckl.

Some of the artists Dave has performed with include Pete Escovedo, Clark Terry, James Moody, The Ink Spots, Clare Fischer, Carl Anderson, Bill Watrous, Chris Cain, and Mic Gillette (Tower of Power). Dave also had the privelege to perform many times with longtime Steely Dan sideman Cornelius Bumpus when he would come to California.

Dave teaches privately in Turlock and Modesto.

Larry Tagg - bass/vocals

Musician-bass player, singer and songwriter, Larry Tagg moved to California in 1978 with the band Uncle Rainbow to record under the aegis of Michael Hosack, one of the Doobie Brothers. In 1985 with Brent Bourgeois he formed the band Bourgeois Tagg and was signed by Island records. Bourgeois Tagg recorded two albums and had two hits "Mutual Surrender "and "I Don't Mind At All". They toured with Robert Palmer, Heart, Belinda Carlisle and and an appearance on the Late Show with Johnny Carson.

Larry played as a bass player and singer with Todd Rundgren and Hall and Oates. During the 90's he was signed as a staff songwriter by Warner Chappell Music. Larry's songs were recorded by Eddie Money, Kim Carnes, Cliff Richard and others. He released two solo albums "With A Skeleton Crew "and "Rover "in Europe and America.

Brian Withycombe - keyboards

Brian Withycombe is a long-time  Bay Area award winning songwriter, arranger, composer, producer, and multi keyboardist with over 20 albums and 113 recordings selling worldwide on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify. His original music can be heard on over 150 different Satellite Radio Stations and has been featured in film, and on videos and TV.  Brian was also a member of a number of popular Bay Area bands over the years: The Blue Meanies, 911, Gino and the Hawks, Stark Neked, Chain of Fools. He has also played or shared the stage with music legions John Lee Hooker, Bonnie Raitt, Bon Jovi, Cheap Trick, Charlie Musselwhite, Jeff Lorber, Maynard Ferguson, Doobie Brothers, Joan Baez, Helen Reddy, Robin Ford, Blood Sweat Tears… just to name a few.

René Jenkins - trombone/percussion

René Jenkins is a multi-instrumentalist, ceremonial sound practitioner, speaker, teacher, and professional musician for over 25 years playing trombone, piano, and ancient indigenous instruments. Versed in many styles of music from big band jazz, funk, R&B, reggae, salsa, brass ensembles and pit orchestras, René has backed many established artists in the industry such as Natalie Cole, Johnny Mathis, the Temptations, Mary Wilson of the Supremes, Joe Williams, Jan Levi and Gregg Allman, to name a few.
