We are the only local shop to be in business for over 25 years.
We have been featured in the Asbury Park Press on three different occasions, twice in the 1980's and once late in the 1990's. We have made the cover of the Mid-Atlantic Game & Fish magazine four times for state record deer mounts and another article on fish taxidermy. There is another article underway that will be in this November's publication featuring Carl's bow kill from this past winter bow season.
We were featured on a TV show on local cable vision ( channel- 34 )in the mid 1990`s featuring taxidermy in Monmouth & Ocean Counties, which showed some of our work, explained how it was done and how long it takes, and aired an interview with the shop and staff.
Carl has orchestrated many seminars at several of the local schools including but not limited to Wall, Neptune and Old bridge. Carl also went to Piedmont Community College for four years in a row and still returns at least every other year for college credit courses in taxidermy. Carl has also schooled directly under such names as Joe Meader , Joe Coombs, Archie Phillips, Frank Newmyer, Joe Ferebee, Jan VanHoesen, Stefan Savides & Don Holt and many more! Carl and the staff still attend seminars in N.J., N.Y., PA., NC and CONN. whenever time allows. Carl and the other staff members have won ribbons at various shows but unfortunately the time involved with operating a shop of this magnitude does not allow for the staff to participate in as many of the many competitions around the country as they would like to.
