Shiatsu Massage & Relaksasi

Since my body is feeling restless yesterday from my sickness (slight fever), and since there is a newly open Relaksasi branch in the columns, and since it is just near/across our workplace... I went there yesterday and had my much needed relieving shiatsu massage.

Shiatsu massage treats common psychological and physical complaints by pressing pressure points. Proponents believe it alleviates disorders such as depression, anxiety, nausea, stiffness, headaches, arthritis, cramps, or pulled muscles. This Japanese equivalent of the Chinese method of acupressure comes from the Japanese words "shi" and "atsu," meaning "finger pressure."(www.wisegeek.com)

Benefits of Shiatsu Massage from (www.about.com)

  • Deep muscle and tissue relaxation
  • Stress reduction and management
  • Releases toxins from the body
  • Dis-ease preventative
  • Increased flexibility
  • Improved blood circulations
  • Reduces blood pressure
  • Reduces mental anxieties
  • Balances ki (chi)
  • Calms nervousness
  • Increases mental and spiritual awareness
  • It feels good!

Anyway back to Relaksasi columns: The place is just small but pretty much relaxing, is clean and in order. Therapist is good or perhaps I got the right one. Price is so-so, a Shiatsu massage cost me P450 plus 20% off. They offer other service such as Swedish, Shiatsu, combination, hilot and other traditional holistic therapies, body scrub and wrap rituals, hand & foot pampering, facials and other contemporary therapies such as stone and cellulite massage and etc. Ooooh, I think they cannot accommodate groupies, I mean the last time we inquire there are only 3 massage therapist available so we sought for other place that can accommodate 5 of us all at the same time.

That’s all!

Relaksasi Park Square branch does not honor the appointments you make over the phone. I set up an appointment for a 1-hour massage at8pm early in the day, I arrived 750pm only to find out that I will be accommodated only by 820pm. Receptionist said I had no choice but to wait. Of course I couldn't since I had another appointment scheduled after 9pm. Therapists might be good but if they have no respect for time specially thier customer's time, not worth going to. Poor service!
