Convicted killer tells ‘faint hope’ jury he’s a changed man
5 minute read Updated: 8:55 AM CDTTam Le has spent more than 15 years in prison for murdering Miguel Munoz outside a Winnipeg nightclub.
Now, the 48-year-old Stony Mountain Penitentiary inmate says he is ready to be “part of the solution, rather than part of the problem.”
“I have a choice to better myself and be a role model,” Le told a jury Wednesday. “That day I shot Miguel, there are a million things I could have done differently… I had a choice.”
Le was found guilty of first-degree murder following a jury trial in 2009 and sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years.
