The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport experienced severe weather and high winds overnight on Thursday and into the early morning hours on Friday. At this time, flights at MSY are operating, but passengers should check directly with their airlines for the most accurate flight information as there have been some delays and cancellations.
Crews have also observed some initial impacts to smaller aircraft and equipment on the airfield and are in the process of conducting inspections to assess the extent of the impacts to Airport infrastructure from the severe weather. The terminal facility remained with power throughout the weather event.
