Four of us went for a meal this evening and were totally pleased with our experience. I had not had raclette in several years so I had the full portion of the appetizer and it was more than enough for a meal. the others had full meals and we all enjoyed the food. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. I would advise any one to try this restaurant.

Just went to the Alphorn restaurant and must say it was fantastic!!! We're originally from Germany and found the whole experience to be a great reminder of being back in Europe!!!!! The food and service was outstanding!!! We will certainly be visiting again!!!!!!!

We spontaneously decided today to have a "Swiss Cheese Fondue" at the Alphorn. BAD DECISION!
Definitely one of the worst Fondues I have ever had in my life! It was obvious that it came straight out of a package from a grocery store and consisted of more corn starch than cheese. A few whole garlic cloves were added by whomever prepared this concoction. This probably made it their "secret recipe". It is doubtful that any fresh cheese was in this so called fondue.
As a native Swiss I am embarrassed that something like this is supposed to be an authentic representation of Swiss food. It gives Switzerland a bad name.
All of this for an exorbitant price: cheese fondue for 2 persons plus two soft drinks plus HST = $ 56.05!!!
Our advice, don't get fooled by this restaurant, eat fondue in Switzerland and not at The Alphorn!

After living in the area for 6 months I looked forward to eating here. I was so disappointed! The Schnitzel was dry and leathery. The only flavour was the fresh lemon squeezed on. The baby carrots were rubbery and hard.
The Roesti potatoes were good. The sizes were humungous.
Far too much to enjoy. (Less is more).
Perhaps for a bunch of beer drinkers (they do have lots of varieties) I definitely will not be back.

They advertise as best Weinerschnitzel in Canada. I wonder what year that was. Probably way back in the '80's!

We have come to this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed! The food is fresh and wonderful. The servers are always pleasant and the atmosphere will take you back to the Alps! We usually have the home made soup and the Weiner Schnitzel. They are always very nice. Make sure you have a good appetite as some of the portions are large. We have never been able to have dessert because we are full. I'm sure they are as good as everything else.
