French rap star Aya Nakamura pokes fun at the haters in her new single, "Doggy", released Friday in the wake of far-right uproar over rumours she may perform at the Paris Olympics.Nakamura has been at the centre of a storm ever since a French magazine published rumours she was asked by President Emmanuel Macron to perform a song by French singing legend Edith Piaf during the Games in July.
Jeffrey Donaldson, the leader of Northern Ireland's main pro-UK Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) and one of its best known politicians, resigned on Friday after police reportedly charged him over historical sex offences.The DUP said Donaldson had confirmed in a letter to the party's chairman that he had been "charged with allegations of an historical nature" and that he was resigning as leader "with immediate effect".
A Russian court has remanded journalist Antonina Favorskaya in custody for two months after she was charged with participation in an extremist organisation, the Moscow court service said. Favorskaya was detained on March 27 and accused of participating in the Anti-Corruption Foundation, which late opposition leader Alexei Navalny founded, according to a support group for Favorskaya.
