Moxie: If anything is predictable at this Beachwood bastion, it's the quality and consistency

Exacting preparations and attentive service are hallmarks of this Beachwood bastion.

Moxie the Restaurant continues to wow diners with a robust menu that caters to serious eaters (like me) and customers with fat wallets (unlike me). It's not hard to forget you're wallowing in prosperity here: The lot is filled with luxury cars and the dress is Nordstrom's casual.

With a major retooling of the menu still on the horizon, anticipate changes (perhaps some major shifts) in chef Jonathon Bennett's offerings. Still, gilding the lily is routine in this kitchen. Even table butter is bathed in oil and bread
crumbs. Riches abound. Who knew
that the classic iceberg wedge that in lesser joints merely drips a waterfall of bleu cheese dressing could be -- nay, should be -- dolled up with crisp lettuce, bleu cheese, red onions, grape tomatoes, fat croutons and balsamic vinaigrette? 

One could make a meal, in fact, by ordering from the 10-item appetizer menu alone -- perhaps pairing a salad with mussels and french fries. Or, from a list of at least 10 main courses, you can nab a piece of flawlessly grilled salmon.
