Let's Dance Vol 2Funkyjaws Music
Funkyjaws Music is back with more music to make your jaw go funky, this time in the form of a second volume of its Let's Dance series. It features a quartet of esteemed tune makers starting with Frank Booker's 'Yes No Maybe' which is a horn laced and loose-limbed delight, while go-slow master Eddie C brings his classy touch to the funky licks of 'Love Dancing Theme.' There are plenty of cosmic synth waves to Black Truffle's 'Dancing Through The Night' while the LTJ Xperience close down with a super laid back and summery vibe on 'Sunny Groove.'

Jar Of Flies (remastered)Sony
Alice in Chains' Jar of Flies from 1994 is a masterful album that showcases the band's versatility and songwriting prowess across an acoustic-driven collection of tracks. They deliver plenty of haunting melodies and introspective lyrics that make for a deeply immersive listen. There is a real melancholic beauty to 'Nutshell' while a gritty intensity pervades 'No Excuses.' Each song offers a glimpse into the band's emotional depth and musical complexity, always with raw emotion and captivating performances that make this one a standout release in Alice in Chains' discography.

Project 1Theory Of Swing Italy
The Italian label Theory Of Swing Records, focuses on 90s styled house music. Their ninth release comes to us from the Bari-based moniker ROP Underground Trax (Also known as Rhythm Of Paradise), taking us back to the Detroit House roots with five classic tracks. This EP mixes a blend of soulful and late-night style where the rhythm is so important to the flow, the tracks building over many bars, ebbing and flowing organically. 'I Get High' is a perfect example of the early to mid-90s sound where house music rules the dancefloors, while 'Flash Back' is one of our favourites here with the hypnotic groove that works in all the right ways. The Chicago connection is not lost by ROP Underground Trax as you can tell when you hear 'Keep Me Inside". This record has a great house vibe to it and we suspect house heads old and young will give this EP mad respect.

Manhattan Project - Work It!

Work It!Club Unite Germany
Club U Nite Records has been making some great house records since making their welcomed comeback in 2018. Manhattan Project aka Mellow Man (Andreas Marek) is the label owner is here with his latest EP of new music. Work It offers four classy house tracks for the late-night dancefloor fanbase. No surprise by the title of the track 'Work It!', that it has all the makings of a classic Chicago-inspired track. For those who like Jasper Street Co. sound then you are sure to like 'This Luv You're Giving Me'. There are moments when these give us a gospel house vibe. The B-side has some deep groover in 'Bring It Back' while 'What Does That Make You Feel' verges on a more serene, ambient house vibe. If you are looking for smooth house music with some Chicago influence then look no further than Work It!

Vinicius Honorio - Endless Love

Endless LoveFigure Germany
This Brazilian artist is based in London but brings trippy and foreboding sounds with relentless energy and plenty of Latin passion. The title cut kicks off and features Theo Nasaa as well as plenty of pent up and banging kick drum funk, Faki's own Hardspace mix then pairs thing back but doesn't' let up, while 'Gunz Blazin' loops some subtle vocals over edgy drums and taught synths. Last of all, 'Stabbed In The Heart' has a deeper, more warm feel with some nice diffuse pad work and sharp percussion to keep things moving.

Nasty Tools EPConceptual Moods
DJ Tijzza from Berlin overturns his lapels for a look into his latest illicit wares, this time taking the form of a pair of ‘Nasty Tools’ to top up Mood Waves’ Rap Moods series. Said Rap Moods are essentially dirty house cuts interspersed with obscure hip-hop vocal samples; this is indeed a form in which you cannot go wrong. ‘Rap House Jam’ compels us to depart from the sofa and relocate to the street floor, with a four-bar vox from god knows where furthering our motivations ever-forward; ‘Micro Twerker’ is bassier and sparser, but brings proper energy when the thematic “shake yo weight” sample is heard.

On Your Feet Or On Your KneesMusic On Vinyl
On Your Feet Or On Your Knees was the band's first compilation and helped them shoot to stardom. With the rise of successful greatest hits albums, the label at the time pressured the young band to bring out a collection of previously released music, with then 12 songs featured here the result of collecting three songs per prior album that the band felt were their strongest. This album features some of the most beloved live songs by the band like 'Buck's Boogie'. For those that are new to the band, this is a great introduction to the history of BOC prior to their landmark hit 'Don't Fear The Reaper' smash the following year and this reissue comes on silver & black marbled vinyl.

Bloody Kisses: Suspended In Dusk (30th Anniversary Version)Roadrunner
Originally released in 1993, and noted as the first album on Roadrunner Records to be certified as Gold in the US (before achieving platinum status in 2000), Bloody Kisses served as the third full-length from gothic alternative metal legends Type O Negative. Boasting some of the band's most renowned cuts such as 'Christian Woman' and 'Black No. 1 (Little Miss Scare-All)', while continuing their trend of odd cover versions with the controversial rendition of the Seals & Crofts' track 'Summer Breeze' (which had to be re-recorded and its revised lyrics restored to the original upon Seals & Crofts being offended by Peter Steele's "distasteful" reimagining), the project has since become the high watermark for the group's overall aesthetic and style. This green vinyl 2xLP reissue provides a new definitive home for Steele's revised digipack version that cut away many of the interlinking interludes in an effort to de-clutter the project. A move that may have left a bad taste in other members' collective mouths, but ultimately led to the project being one of, if not, the most notable and adored in the Type O Negative cannon.
