on the Isle of Mull

Scoor, a place of unforgettable beauty, rest for the body and food for the soul. A base to experience the unique natural environment of the Ross of Mull.

The two-storey farmhouse was restored and converted to provide four well equipped, comfortable self catering apartments. These apartments along with our two separate cottages are perfect for individuals, couples or families looking for a chill-out, get away from it all holiday as well as larger families, organisations and special interest groups looking for accommodation together in one location.

Spacious and well equipped, Garden Cottage is adjacent to Scoor House with its own entrance and benefits from its own beautiful private garden. Shepherd’s Cottage is a short stroll away in a fantastic secluded location with its own private garden and parking area. Scoor House & Garden Cottage have a large walled grassy area which is perfect for outdoor games.  All the properties have stunning sea views across the landscape towards the islands of the Hebrides and there are picnic tables for eating out of doors or simply to sit and enjoy the views as the sun sets or to listen to birdsong in the morning.

.”the approach along the bumpy, twisty Scoor Road just prepares you for slowing down, taking your time, looking out for the local wildlife…”

Scoor House was simply fantastic! Stunning remote location with far away views of the sea. It was also very clean and spacious. The cooking facilities were also excellent. Scott sent over lots of information well in advance of our arrival including lots of helpful tips and interesting recommendations. We loved it and couldn’t have asked for more! IONA Sept ’20

Amazing place and such a great base to explore Mull. Scenery is stunning and the local history is fascinating. CHRIS Sept ’20

Scoor is very different from the ‘normal’ accommodation: it’s remote, on a farm, in an outstanding place on the Isle of Mull, near two amazing beaches. Arriving at our apartment, Cnoc Mor, we felt as if we stepped back in time- we felt most welcome and we checked in and over the 4 days we stayed there, we enjoyed waking up on the sounds of the sheep and watched wonderful sunsets from the comfort of the homely livingroom. We were free to explore and discovered one beach at about 15′ walk that simply left us speechless – its beauty can hardly be described in words. Definitely the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. Another beach, easier to access (around 30′ walk) also impressed us, we even found a whale skeleton washed up on the white sands. LAURA Aug ’20
