Ace Faces - Libby Wilson
My name is Libby and I am a married mam with 3 kids trying to make a living as a face painter. I not only really enjoy painting faces, but also anything that will stop still for long enough. Give me some paint, a brush and next thing I know the mirror is suddenly covered with flowers and swirls. There are so many fabulous artists about that I would love to be as good as, so I am using this blog as a journey through my artistic truimphs and disasters.

Mother's Day
A little creation for my lovely Mother in Law for Mother's Day
As always in my creations, hearts are included in abundance!!! Photo not that great as done with the iPod, will try to take a better one later with my camera.
Had a wonderful pre-Mother's Day tea this evening as I will be face painting for 5 hours in the Terrace Restaurant at the Baltic tomorrow and so will not be home for a special lunch. Jeff and the girls worked so hard making Roast Pork dinner with all the trimmings. ( gorgeous crackling by the way!) I found it sooo hard not to get involved and kept getting chucked out of my own kitchen!!!
For pudding Chloe has totally excelled herself and made chocolate eclairs from scratch!!! We are going to have these ( she made 16 andthere are 5 of us!!!) with some strawberries and I can't wait!
To all the Mother's out there;
Enjoy being made a fuss of have a Happy Mother's Day!

Chloe's Mr Bean Birthday cake
Chloe set me a challenge of doing a Mr Bean birthday cake for her 13th birthday.Almost lost the will to live towards the end, but I really did do my very best! It may have a few changes that the Haynes hadn't detail. It is also a bit wonky in parts but I don't care, cos Chloe loves it!

Painting by candle light
What a fabulous evening I had tonight, a room full of kids awaiting face painting and airbrush tattoos and guess what ..... We had a power cut before it even started! It briefly came back on for a minute but went back off and continued to be off for the whole 3 hours! They could still be in virtual darkness even now... Who knows!
Anyway without my power pack there could be no airbrushing, but the face painting started in earnest, using the emergency lighting which was faint but it was just about doable. I did my best under the conditions but I hope the kids weren't too disappointed if the faces weren't to my usual standard! Hopefully I used the right colours in the right places,but who knows.... Nobody got poked in the eye and everyone seemed pleased so that's what counts!
Moto for today 'keep calm and carry on!'
What an awful journey it was there and back tonight as well, cold, wet and very foggy and that was just me! Night night!
