RE-RELEASED ARRIVING LATE MARCH!! SIAI-Marchetti SF-260EA/D/W with Late Bulged Canopy Type' The SF-260 is an Italian training, sports and aerobatic aircraft which can be found all around the globe. In Europe, it served with the Irish Air Corps and is still being used by the air forces of Belgium and Italy. The type was gradually developed and upgraded, so the latest versions differ to some extent from the earlier ones. The main difference is rather obvious, it is the more bulged rear-sliding canopy with different style of its framing. This change is most possibly caused by the ever increasing height of the pilots.
Our model of the later version differs from our earlier release no. SH72418 by having this new clear sprue with the larger canopy. The decal sheet brings markings for an Italian machine with nose art on either side of the fuselage, then a Belgian machine and also two eye-catching machines as flown in Latin America an aluminium lacquer overall machine from Venezuela and white SF-260 from Uruguay with orange trim.
- Interesting paint schemes
- Quality of the model highly exceeds that of models produced by other companies
- Spray masks to be available shortly (Special Hobby sold out November 2023)

ARRIVING LATE MARCH!! 60 cm Flak Scheinwerfer (Flak Sw-36) mit Sd.Ah.51 / Světlomet 60N s vlekem. The German WW2 60cm-diameter searchlight that was used both by the Luftwaffe and Wehrmacht to illuminate the night skies during air raids and airfield runways to allow for safe landings. This searchlight is already on offer in 1/72 scale (model MV130) and now it has been scaled up to 1/48 and improved with better detail allowed by the larger scale. The complete kit, including the Sd.Ah.51 transport cart is made by direct 3D print. The assembled searchlight can be placed on the cart and put back as the modeller prefers. The full scale searchlight was also used by the Czechoslovak Army after the war, designated Svetlomet 60N.

Re-released! Westland Whirlwind Mk.I 'Fighter Bomber' Not long before the outbreak of WW2, the British Air Ministry issued a requirement calling for two types of fighter aircraft, one light weight with machine gun armament and the other one with heavy cannon armament. To these requirements, the machine gun armed Hurricanes and Spitfires were designed, while to fit the second category, the Westland offered their Whirlwind twin engined ‘Cannon Fighter’. This type was eventually produced in more than a hundred examples and further production was ceased only by the shortage of the Peregrine power units. The Whirlwinds were deployed over the English Channel in fighter and ground attack missions. For the latter ones, the Whirlwinds were fitted with bomb racks and were designated FB Mk.I. It was not until 1944 that the Whirlwinds were replaced by Typhoons.
Our model of the Whirlwind fighter bomber comes on two styrene sprues with one of the clear canopy parts. The model kit also contains resin cast detail parts and etches. The decal sheet offers markings for four colour schemes, two of which of the earlier green and earth camouflage and the other two in the later scheme consisting of green and grey. The latter ones are now improved compared to the earlier release.

ARRIVING LATE MARCH!! Tachikawa Ki-54 Hickory 'Captured and Post War Service' The Hickory was a Japanese WW2 twin-engined aircraft produced in four versions, for pilots, wireless operators and navigators training, gunnery training, a transport verison and anti-submarine operations type. Our kit comes on four styrene sprues and one with clear injected parts.
This boxing portrays captured machines. One as flown by US pilots bearing a nose art and dubbed Lemon, a French machine operated in French Indochina (Vietnam) and a North Korean machine, recaptured by US troops during the Korea War.
- the Ki-54 has never been kitted in styrene format before.
- decals for machines with interesting history
- paint masks also available separately

The units operating these vehicles belonged to the British Army, RAF and the Indian Army. On top of that the vehicles were also used by Britain-based units with Polish and Czechoslovak personnel. The decal sheet covers An Isle of Wight based Humber Mk.II vehicle of the 29th Independent Squadron and another Humber of the Czechoslovak Independent Brigade in Great Britain. The major parts of the model are resin cast, the kit also contains a fret of etches and a few 3D-Printed parts.

Supermarine Walrus Mk.I
(Due June 2024)
It would be difficult to think of an aircraft design so markedly different to the sleek and elegant Spitfire, but the Supermarine Walrus amphibious biplane was from the hand of the same designer. Despite its somewhat ungainly appearance, the Walrus proved to be an incredibly effective aircraft and flexible enough to take on a number of roles in some of the most demanding operating environments.
Coming at the end of a long line of capable single-engined flying boats and amphibians, the Walrus was actually the product of a Royal Australian Air Force requirement for an updated and more robust version of their existing Supermarine amphibian, the Seagull III, which had proved so successful. The new aircraft, which would become known as the Seagull V, would need to have the capability to be catapult launched from Royal Australian Navy cruisers, so the wooden hull of the earlier version was replaced with a strong metal design, with additional stainless steel forgings for the catapult spools and mountings

The General Dynamics EF-111 Raven was developed on the aerodynamic platform of the ground-attack aircraft F-111 Aardvark. The supersonic aircraft, featuring variable-geometry wings, was identified as a suitable platform to accommodate the electronic components necessary to effectively perform the new assigned tasks. The EF-111 Raven thus became a benchmark for Electronic Warfare missions, being employed in various operational activities in Libya, Bosnia, and Iraq. Easily recognizable by the prominent protrusion on the rear fin, it was equipped with state-of-the-art electronics for its time, including terrain-mapping radar and the adoption of radar jamming systems and electronic countermeasures. The cockpit was also redesigned with the installation of a control suite specifically configured for the Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO), the officer specializing in electronic warfare.

Bristol Bulldog Mk.II
New Tooling
(Due April 2024)
A gleaming silver steed flown by the most capable and intrepid young men Britain could call upon, the Bristol Bulldog was one of the most important British aircraft of the inter-war period, when powerful biplane fighters unquestionably ruled the skies. Initially developed as a private venture by the Bristol Aeroplane Company, the Bulldog was the brainchild of accomplished aircraft designer Frank Barnwell, the man behind the successful Bristol F2B Fighter of the Great War, and was a light, all-metal and fabric-covered fighter, powered by a 440hp Bristol Jupiter engine.
The Bulldog was armed with a pair of forward-firing Vickers 0.303" machine guns mounted on either side of the cockpit, but ultimately never fired its guns in anger during a relatively short seven-year period serving with Fighter Command. Although it was the most capable fighter of the day, the Bulldog was more closely associated with challenging formation flying and spectacular aerobatics, with the Royal Air Force thrilling huge crowds at airshows and pageants around the country, as they demonstrated the effectiveness of a modernising air force.
What the Bulldog did do was help advance Britain's aviation industry towards the production of the sleek, monoplane fighters which would contest the Second World War, as it highlighted the fact that biplane designs were fast approaching their zenith. Perhaps the most famous incident involving a Bristol Bulldog proved to be a rather unfortunate one, when an accomplished, but rather headstrong RAF pilot performed unauthorised low-altitude aerobatics for a group of onlookers and a private civilian aerodrome in Berkshire.
Flying so low that the wingtip of his fighter struck the ground during a manoeuvre, the Bulldog cartwheeled across the airfield, inflicting catastrophic injuries on the pilot - that pilot was future Second World War RAF ace and inspirational national hero Douglas Bader.

Latecoere 298 float plane. The Latécoère 298 was a French torpedo bomber and anti-submarine floatplane. It also was one of the most efficient French aeroplanes, built in 1939 and introduced to service a year later. Late 298 aircraft fought in the 1940 Battle of France, served with the Vichy regime, captured aiframes were even put to use with the German Luftwaffe and one of them was later captured back and used by the RAF. Following the Anglo-American landing operation, the French Lates again saw service against the common enemy. And finaly, the last of the type flew well until the 1950s as trainers.
This kit set was originally released in our Azur edition, now we bring it back in a new range called the Vintage Treasure. Such labelled kits are meant for those more experienced of modellers. The kit consists of injected styrene parts, resin parts, vacuum-formed canopy and a decal sheet catering for one 1940 French airframe and a 1944 Luftwaffe captured machine

Messerschmitt Bf-109E-4 A Revolutionary Breakthrough in Warplane Design! Please see the pictures!
Dragon Models is proud to announce a revolutionary new project that’s 10 years in the making! The first item of Dragon’s new Wing Tech 2 series, the 1/48 Bf109E-4N boasts multiple engineering breakthroughs never seen before in Warplane model kits.
Developed over ten years using meticulous research and working together with the industry’s top plastic mould engineers to fine-tune our tooling technology, Dragon has achieved the first ever one-piece fuselage that will set the new standard in modelling! Prepare for a new age in Air Superiority!
Overview of the Kit sprues including the revolutionary one-piece fuselage and Dragon’s first ever offering with multi-colored parts.
One-Piece Fuselage
Traditionally, the fuselage is presented in two halves, which are glued together. Then, additional puttying and sanding are needed to eliminate the gap lines. However, this process can be time consuming and can produce negative results such as sanding off the details on the fuselage.
Dragon’s breakthrough engineering eliminates this problem by using multi-direction slide-moulds to produce the fuselage in one single piece.
Additional Key Features:
Complete Engine reproduced in accurate detail
Wings plug directly into the one-piece fuselage for better stability during assembly. State of the art engineering ensures quick and simple assembly without compromising the detail and quality of the model kit.
Wing joints are cleverly hidden beneath the curved leading edge of the upper wing to reduce the need for puttying and sanding. The result is a perfect-looking wing that can be built without additional time-consuming work.
Unrivalled detail on the engine and inside the cockpit. Also included are Dragon’s one-piece canopy
Our Wing Tech 2 series is a part of Dragon’s Engineering Revolution 2.0, in which our items are developed with the modellers in mind. For many years, Dragon has continually raised the bar in providing the highest detailed model kit products in the market. However, the higher level of detail comes at a cost, which is more parts, more assembly, and longer build times.
Keeping that in mind, our latest series utilizes the industry’s most sophisticated moulding techniques ever and simplifies the building process without compromising the details that Dragon is famous for. The result is a next generation model kit that has the highest level of details and accuracy, yet easier and less time consuming to build!
