Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 12th May at 9am I rowed for 24 hours on an indoor rowing machine. In the process I rowed 313,248m which meant that I also set a new British Record , an age group world record (30-40) and the overall world record by a mere 136m. I did all this in the aid for two charities that are close to me, firstly the Stroke Association after my older brother suffered a stroke last year at the age of 37. Although he has fully recovered from this, hopefully the money raised will go towards research in causes of strokes in young people.

The 2nd charity is for the MS Society which you can donate on my other just giving page. www.justgiving.com/Phil-Craze-MS

Thanks for all your support.

Phil

Please find below an e-mail of support from Sir Steve Redgrave.

“Over the years I have spent a lot of time on rowing machines. I have done all sorts of challenges from the longest time spent on a rowing machines to a million meters three times, but this has all been part of a team.  The longest time I have done individually is 100 minutes. I would never consider doing a 24hr solo challenge. This would be tough both mentally and physically.

I wish you the best and hope you get the record and raise as much money for your two charities as you can.

Good luck

Steve Redgrave
