Default Alloy wheel refurb Wrexham/chester

Hi,
Has anyone come across a good alloy wheel refurb place (chemical strip etc) around the wrexham/chester north west area that they can recommend. just called a couple of places in the yellow pages and it seems like they want around £52 per wheel for a sand and respray, they dont recommend a refurb for 2003 wheels!

wheels are 17 " thor

Many thanks

richard

Hi Richard, try North West Enamellers in Buckley. www.northwestenamellers.co.uk 01244549185. No personal experience of them but they did a good job of my mate's motorbike wheel, and for a reasonable charge. Am considering using them for a bit of motorbike work myself so if you do try them I would be interested to hear how you get on.

Cheers

Pete

I know this is not in your area but I've just had my 17" Tethys alloys done by a company called Alloy Smart here in Pontyclun, South Wales, not far from Cardiff - www.alloysmart.co.uk and they made a brilliant job of them. £210 inc all in for all four wheels. Considering when enquiring at Stratstone Volvo Cardiff they wanted £1,400 for new ones, I think that's a pretty good deal as they look brand new now.

Try National Alloys on 0151 495 1880. They're based in Widnes. Again i've never used them myself but a couple of friends have nothing but good things to say about them!

many thanks for the inputs - I have just dropped the wheels (x4) off at north west enamellers. £160+vat for a strip, fill in (for kerbing) and respray.
