Lethbridge Police continue to actively investigate an incident that occurred just over a year ago where a senior citizen was kidnapped from her southside home and robbed.
Over the past year police have pursued numerous avenues of investigation, but to date no charges have been laid. In an effort to generate more tips and new leads, police are sharing previously undisclosed details about the incident and are asking anyone who may have information that could assist investigators to come forward.
Lethbridge Police, with assistance from Alberta Sheriffs, apprehended four impaired drivers and issued 69 tickets – mostly for equipment violations – during a targeted traffic enforcement project that will continue throughout the summer.
The goal of the enforcement initiative is to provide safer roads for all users by targeting speeding, excessive vehicle noise, racing, stunting and other illegal behaviours in areas throughout the city where members of the public have reported concerns. Similar operations were conducted in 2022 and 2023 to help address the concerns and reduce violations.
Kathleen Kearns who was previously reported as missing has been located. Police would like to thank the public for sharing the message.
