Let me know you ideas too!

What do I write about?

I have been a GP for over 20 years and had roles in Clinical leadership for over 15 years. In that time, I have chaired statutory boards and been part of transformation projects including shared care record development and implementation. My passion has been shifting towards health & care systems based on outcomes, robust business information, an understanding of risk and the creation of Value for people and their populations.

The principles of Value-based care, underpinned by population health management techniques will feed into a lot of my ideas, but empowering people and creating new mechanisms to offer care through the use of new technology is a real opportunity. Robust Primary care has to underpin this and there has to be a 'Left Shift' or movement to more data-informed preventative approaches.

There are endless technologies and ideas out there, but we will only be able to affect change through robust leadership and of course, clinical & professional leadership is really important in my eyes, especially with the requirements around Clinical safety, DTAC and regulation.

Emerging new technologies such as AI seem to make huge promises, but it's important to get under the hood and understand what it may offer, the risks and what it probably should not be used for. Exploring what it may look like in the future is exciting too.

If you want to join in, please let me know. I'd be keen to collaborate and develop joint thought leadership papers.
