Lodge of Warwick 8011

Welcome

About Us:
Freemasonry is not about anything, other than the improvement of each of its members to simply be the best that he can be, with himself, with others and in the wider community.  Our guiding principles are integrity, friendship, respect and charity.  Freemasonry provides a structure for members to come together, under those common goals, to make a positive contribution to society.

Integrity:
As an individual, being a Freemason gives  a sense of purpose and guidance through life.  Collectively it creates a bond of unity and unbiased decency.

Friendship:
Freemasonry is open to all religions and political leanings.  We don’t discuss either!  The bond of friendship that develops is lasting and with such a diverse membership, topics of conversation are many and varied.  There are specialist Lodges for people with a common interest.  We also have university Lodges where members are together for a relatively short time but then go on to join Lodges wherever they may settle, bringing more diversity wherever they go.

Respect:
There are over 200,000 Freemasons in the UK and it is an integral part of our society that we respect each individuals’ beliefs, be that religious or any other perceived difference.  We are proud to be Freemasons and are always free to to talk openly about our wonderful organisation.

Charity:
From a small amount that does a wealth of good for a small local charity, to a major donation to a national organisation or to an international disaster.  Freemasonry has always been there to support and help. In 2020 £42 million was raised for charities and freemasons donated over 18.5 million hours to unpaid voluntary work.

Outside of the Lodge we have an active social life involving our wives, partners and families.  We hold lunches, afternoon teas, quizzes, garden parties, pantomime trips and many others.  Family is very important to us and it is essential that our other halves are fully supportive our Freemasonry if we and they are to get the best out of it.

So, there we have it, a little about us.  Learn more on our other pages.
