I have not posted anything here for a long time because I was busy working hard for my employer and their clients. This week we have launched new website for Alpine Canada Alpin: www.alpinecanada.org.

Since fall 2010 I've been working for digital agency in Calgary, Alberta, Canada called Evans Hunt (EH). At the same time I have my own company ALTASO LTD., where "ALTASO" is an abbreviation obtained from two words "Alberta Software" (it means I do contracting on side time to time).

Aggregator module is part of Drupal 7 Core and is used for publishing syndicated content.

This module is a powerful feed reader that is part of the core as mentioned above. When this module is enabled, the Aggregator can fetch syndicated content from other websites.

The Aggregator module can gather, read and display variety of contents such as news, text, images, etc. Data are gathered from external sites and blogs around the Internet.

I have been away for most of the May 2011 so I was not able to write much. I was traveling in Europe for more than three weeks and I really enjoyed my time off.

Now it is time to get back to work. And I believe I will be posting some new blog posts about Drupal 7 soon. We are currently working on Drupal 7 website development for one of our clients.

In previous blog post I've introduced Pathauto Drupal module. Today I'm going to have a look how to configure it and how to achieve my goal having blog post URLs something like blog/2011/drupal-7-module-pathauto.

As I mentioned in the previous post I would like to have Path Auto Drupal module installed. I would like to change my URLs from "node/10" to something more interesting to search engines for example "blog/drupal-7-module-pathauto".

There is an option called URL path settings on the bottom of my add/edit screen. When creating new content (article/blog post) I can manually set URL I like, for example one mentioned above.

In previous blog post I've described how easy is to enable Clean URLs. When this is enabled URLs for Drupal CMS looks like "node/2" where number is node ID of the node (content).

For better SEO as well little bit nicer URLs there is Pathauto contributed module available. The Pathauto module automatically generates path aliases for different types of content (nodes, categories, users). Pathauto module depends on the Token module.

So I need Token module installed and configured first and this blog post is about that.

In the previous blog post I was looking into default modules installed after standard Drupal 7 installation. In that article I've listed modules which are enabled but default.

In this blog post I'm going to provide list of modules which are coming with default Drupal 7 installation but are disabled by default.

In this blog post I'm going to tell you more about Clean URLs for Drupal 7. I'm going to try to enable clean URLs for my site at the same time as well.

By default, Drupal & generates URLs for pages with "q" parameter "http://www.marekpisch.com/?q=node/1." This style of URLs can be hard to read and can prevent some search engines from indexing all the pages of the site (even this is not true anymore for major search engines as it was before).
