Supporting Magen David Adom in Saving Lives
Thanks to a defibrillator another life was saved!
This week, MDA’s 101 hotline received a report about a man who collapsed in a bakery in Holon. MDA medics and paramedics provided him with medical aid. They performed CPR on him, which included giving him electric shocks from a defibrillator (AED), and when his heart started to beat again, he regained full consciousness! The MDA team took the patient to the hospital where his condition is defined as stable.
Every 10 minutes on average a person loses consciousness due to a cardiac problem. The use of a defibrillator has been proven to save lives. MDA deployed smart resuscitation stations all over the country.
We invite you to watch the video and learn how you too can save a life.

As Israelis reflect on the last six months, a growing number are choosing to train to be volunteers for Magen David Adom, with a 40% rise in those training in first aid throughout the country.
As Israel Channel 13 reports, Amit Mann, the 22-year-old paramedic who was killed saving lives on October 7, has become a source of inspiration for many of these volunteers.
New volunteer Ori Tsolman: "I decided to volunteer and take the course and be just a little bit like Amit Mann."
