Remember Me?!

September 1, 2012

I’m back!! After a too, too long break. I’ve really missed EVERYONE … and of course my Magnolia stamps & Copics!

If you’ve visited my blog in the past, you know that my true stamping love has always been Copics and Tilda! But, I’ve promised myself this time to take it easy and definitely not over-commit.

So, I’ve decided to only have ONE blog – my original  My Cardz  … but with LOTS of Magnolia cardz.  Unfortunately, My Magnolias will no longer be active.   I hope you’ll pop over to my other blog, I’d love to see you!   🙂

My Cardz

I must say, I’ve got ALOT of catching up to do … WOW, it’s amazing all the changes in a little less than one year. Thankfully, my Copics have not dried up! 🙂

It all started with this cutie … I had received this stamp while on the Magnolia Sweden DT, but never had the chance to color her. So very recently I decided to color her up … and that’s all it took!

Hooked once again.

Here’s a picture of the full card … not too many frills, but that’s the way I like to do My Cardz! 🙂

This cutie is TILDA LOVES FLOWERS from the Sweet, Crazy Love Collection. I’m sorry, but I didn’t keep track of the Copics I used, but promise to be much better at this in the future!

Thanks for stopping by today – I’m happy to see you all once again … it’s definitely good to be back!  😀

Golfing Tilda

September 12, 2011

Happy Monday!

Here’s another from the Winner Takes All collectionGolfing Tilda.  Don’t you love her stipped pants?!    I used some of the matching DP to paper-piece these.

My daughter needed a retirement card for a co-worker who LOVES to golf, so I thought this cutie would be perfect.

I’ve made her on an easel card and thought this sentiment matched pretty well …

We’ve been busy, busy, busy working on the next edition of the Magnolia Ink magazine – the Christmas edition!   Hopefully, I will be able to return to a more frequent posting schedule now.

Thanks for stopping in today ~ hope your week is off to a great start!

Nurse Tilda sneak peek, CHA photos & Blog Candy!!

July 26, 2011

Hello friends!   I’m so excited to say that I’ve just returned from Chicago where I was honored to be demonstrating various Copic marker techniques while coloring for my favorite stamp company ~ Magnolia!!    A dream come true, in my opinion!

I hope you have a few minutes — since I’ve got LOTS of photos to share!!   And, some anniversary blog candy at the end.

I was also privileged to meet two of THE nicest people in the world ~ Barbro and John of Magnolia.   It was such a wonderful time spent during CHA with them.

I also FINALLY met up with my dear friend, the amazingly talented, super nice and drop dead gorgeous, Suzanne Dean after many years of working on several DTs together.   Adding to my excitement, I was also privileged to meet Angie Hunt, Ruby Montes and Patti Jo Skoguist, three of the sweetest, most talented ladies around – all working at the Magnolia-licious mini stamp booth!   I felt so lucky to spend time with all of these wonderful people.

Angie, Suzanne, Ruby & Patti Jo

I’ve made this card for another dear friend of mine and fellow crafter, who has been ill recently.  So, Nurse Tilda will soon be on her way wishing her a VERY speedy recovery!

Hello Gorgeous!

May 17, 2011

Isn’t he a handsome guy?!   I so seldom am able to use Edwin on a card, and thought he was so adorable in the new Butterfly Dreams image, that I HAD to color him up!    This is EDWIN WITH BUTTERFLY from Magnolia.

He seemed to fit perfectly on the STONE WALL image also from Magnolia.    Both have been colored with Copics.  The butterfly in his hand and the various butterflies on the card have been paper pieced using matching DP, and then a small rhinestone was attached for their bodies.

Berry Sweet Tilda!

May 2, 2011

I’ve really been missing coloring Tilda ~ It’s been way too long! Sooooo, when I found this strawberry DP the other day, I thought it would be a perfect match for this cutie. This is Sweet Tilda from the Raising the Ceiling collection, along with Fruit Label from the A Little Yummy for Your Tummy collection.

As you can see, I went a little DOTTY crazy trying to match Tilda’s apron to the strawberries! I’ve used some Liquid Pearls in White Opal for all the dots. The sentiment is from an older PTI set called Green Thumb and it seemed to be made for the Fruit Label . . .

A belated Valentine!

March 3, 2011

Hello!   Sorry for my lack of posts last month  – we’ve recently sold our house and are moving to a new home in an area which is closer to family and friends!     We’ve been VERY busy working out all the details for the big move on the 21st of this month.

I’ll try to catch up these next few days with a few cards I’ve made recently.   This was for a challenge of making a Valentine without using Red or Pink!   Now that was a tough one!

I decided to go with a black and yellow bumble bee theme, starting with paper from Bo Bunny’s new Crush 6×6 paper pad. This cutie Tilda from Magnolia is actually called Dragonfly Tilda … but I cheated and colored her as a bumble bee!

Her wings were stamped onto vellum paper, cut out and attached to the backside of Tilda and then some icicle Stickles were added.   I also added a bee button from my stash which has been attached to a black button. Trying to keep all the bees similar, I’ve added icicle Stickles to all the wings!

Thanks for stopping in today!
