Consultant Podiatric Surgery

Mr David R Cozens Consultant Podiatric Surgeon performs corrective foot surgery to alter the structure and function of foot deformities that give pain.

The change of appearance is not just cosmetic but addresses the underlying causes of the foot problem.

Podiatric Procedures

Most painful foot conditions can be treated by multiple approaches, therefore surgery may not be the only option. With a comprehensive understanding of the patients requirements and condition a treatment programme will be explained with details of both the non-surgical and surgical options explained.

The Podiatric Surgeon

Mr David R Cozens has held a substantive full time Consultant post in the NHS with many years’ experience in Podiatric Surgery.

He also specialises in biomechanics and musculoskeletal medicine (MSK) with over 30 years' experience in sports medicine and paediatric biomechanics, offering non-surgical alternatives for the correction to foot pain and pathology.

Appointments

Appointments are available on demand and private patient GP referrals are welcome. Mr Cozens consults at multiple centres in the area see Consulting Contact Details on the About Me page

The initial consult fee is £150 for all patients. All costs are explained to non-insured (self-funding) patients prior to further consultations.

Please be aware that some medical insurers require a standard letter of referral from your GP prior to authorisation for the initial consult.

Medical Insurance

Mr Cozens is a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon recognized as such by all of the major medical insurance providers. Mr Cozens is a BUPA Consultant Partner.

Non-insured patients are treated with all costs quoted and explained at the initial consult before any further consult and cost is incurred. A fixed price surgery tariff is available for self-funding patients consideration.
